An Act Concerning the Confinement of Egg-Laying Hens in Commercial Egg Production (S.B. 193/H.B. 357) would ban the use of battery cages — which are so small that the birds confined in them cannot even extend their wings or lie down comfortably — and the sale of eggs from hens raised in these cages.
