Megan Hume

Events Associate

As Events Associate, Megan Hume assists in organizing the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s events during the planning phase and helps to ensure events run timely and smoothly.

She received a Master’s in Science Education from Florida International University and spent over six years teaching middle school science before transitioning into the world of events. Megan has spent over four years working and volunteering at Project Chimps, a chimpanzee sanctuary nestled in the north Georgia mountains.

Megan lives with her husband, Tony, their amazingly wonderful feline friend, Catboy, and their little furry girls, Nova and Chesapeake. When not working, they love taking family hiking trips throughout their 7+ acre property.
