Clara Greider

As a Litigation Fellow at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Clara Greider works to advance the rights and well-being of animals through strategic litigation. Clara is particularly interested in the intersection of animal and environmental law and in advocating for a legal system that protects, rather than exploits, the Earth and its inhabitants.

Clara graduated from Brown University with a degree in Environmental Studies and earned her law degree from NYU School of Law. During law school, Clara was Articles Editor for the NYU Environmental Law Journal, served as chair of the Environmental Law Society’s Advocacy Committee, and worked as a student attorney for three of NYU’s environmental law clinics. Prior to law school, she worked as a policy analyst advancing sustainable agricultural policy.

Clara lives in New York City. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, running, and learning to play folk songs on guitar.
