Brittany Sweitzer

Human Resources Manager

As HR Manager, Brittany supports the ALDF’s mission by fostering an engaging, compliant, and people-centered workplace. She strengthens employee engagement, guides talent management, navigates employee relations, and oversees HR operations, ensuring the broader team has the structure, support, and resources needed to do their best work.

With over a decade of HR experience in nonprofit and mission-driven organizations, Brittany has supported teams in policy advocacy and conservation spaces. She is driven by creating scalable HR systems, improving processes, and building programs that foster engagement, equity, and long-term growth. Her work is grounded in a passion for protecting animals and the environments they depend on.

Brittany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Western Governors University and maintains both SHRM-CP and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certifications.

Based in Southern Illinois, Brittany lives with her husband and three children. When she’s not supporting the ALDF team, she enjoys reading, crafting, and traveling (with a goal of visiting all 50 states and all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums). She also spends time supporting her family’s 60-acre farm, helping sell fresh produce at local farmers markets.
