Brieanah Schwartz

Interim Digital Media Manager

As the Interim Digital Media Manager, Brieanah is responsible for the creation and execution of the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s digital initiatives, including the development and management of our websites, email blasts, and online action centers so we can pursue our mission with speed and flexibility.

Brieanah earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Studio Art from Sweet Briar College, and a J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law with a certificate in Environmental Law. Brieanah has a demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and environmental protection work, including time spent with the Animal Welfare Institute, Defenders of Wildlife, Meyer, Glitzenstein, & Eubanks LLP, and the American Wild Horse Campaign. As Director of Policy and Litigation with AWHC, she produced the organization’s administrative comments, worked cooperatively with the litigation team on all active cases, and managed various policy projects concerning the management of wild horses and burros by the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service.

In 2022, Brieanah started her own nonprofit advocacy consultancy, Pink Barn Creative, to help organizations generate lasting change outside the courtroom as well. Before joining ALDF, Brieanah worked as the Director of Marketing with the Better Food Foundation. In this role she developed and executed social media, email and ad marketing strategies for the organization’s three unique brands.

Brieanah lives in Virginia on five acres with her adopted dogs, Pie and Dandy, rescued cat, Pippy, and horse, Eire.
