Urgent Action: Congress Revives Push to Override State Animal Welfare Laws with Rebranded EATS Act
This action is for U.S. residents only.
Your action is needed to help defeat a dangerous bill!
A repackaged version of the EATS Act, called the Food Security and Farm Protection Act (S. 1326) would undermine the ability of states to enact their own laws affecting agricultural practices, including the treatment of farmed animals.
Landmark farmed animal protection laws — such as California’s Proposition 12, which addresses the cruelest forms of animal confinement on factory farms — could be invalidated should this bill become law. It could also jeopardize state laws designed to protect dogs from the cruelty of puppy mills, promote food safety, protect rural communities, and preserve the environment.
Please take action today to urge your lawmakers to oppose this harmful bill!
