Nevada: Take Action for Hens in the Egg Industry Today!
This action is for Nevada residents only.
State legislation currently being considered, A.B. 171, would undermine Nevada’s cage-free law by allowing the state to suspend its prohibitions — thus allowing the cruel confinement of hens used for egg production in cages so small that they can’t even spread their wings — during prolonged times of national egg shortages.
The existing cage-free law passed with bipartisan support and ended the cruel confinement of hens in the egg industry in Nevada, while also protecting consumers from increased risk of Salmonella contamination, a bacteria that can be lethal, especially to children and the elderly.
Urge your state assemblymember to protect hens in the egg industry and consumers by voting NO on A.B. 171 today!
