Massachusetts: Urge Your Legislators to Co-Sponsor Animal Protection Bills in the 2025–26 Legislative Session
This action is for Massachusetts residents only.
Critical animal protection bills have been filed in Massachusetts for the 2025-26 legislative session, including:
- Animal cruelty bills to limit convicted animals abusers’ access to animals (“possession ban”), protect animals from neglect, and establish a “pet custody” process for divorce and separation proceedings
- Pets-in-housing bills to prevent certain housing and insurance providers from discriminating based on breed
- Sale of animals bills to restrict the retail pet store sale of commercially raised dogs, cats, rabbits, and/or guinea pigs; establish minimum standards for all entities providing companion animals to the public
- Wild animal bills to limit the use of rodenticides and end the sale of new factory-farmed fur products
- Animals used in testing bills to require the use of non-animal methods for certain products and restrict the sale of animal-tested cosmetics
We need your help to build momentum for these priority animal protection bills by asking your state senator and representative to co-sponsor them today.
Personalizing the copy and subject line will increase your effectiveness.
