Your action is needed to help defeat a dangerous bill!
A federal bill, H.R. 7159 — misleadingly called the “Protecting Local Zoos Act of 2026” — would undo protections for big cats established by the Big Cat Public Safety Act by creating regulatory loopholes for roadside zoos and other animal exhibitors. It would reopen the door to cub–petting encounters, allow the breeding and sale of big cats by non-zoological entities, and enable the import or export of big cats from foreign entities. The Big Cat Public Safety Act has been highly effective at protecting animal welfare and public safety, and we must ensure that it remains intact.
Use the form below to contact your U.S. Representative and urge them to OPPOSE H.R. 7159.
