Pomeranian

Broward County, Florida – The national non-profit Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) is contributing $5,000 to a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for fatally beating a Pomeranian named Fox and bragging about the horrific killing. The dog’s South Florida family found his beaten body on August 8 with a chilling note that read, “We beat it 2 death lol hahaha.” Media reports state that the dog had broken ribs, missing teeth, and a broken back consistent with being kicked to death.

Under Florida law, aggravated animal abuse—intentionally committing an act that results in the cruel death of an animal—is a third-degree felony, punishable by imprisonment up to five years or a fine up to $10,000.

“Anyone who would commit such a sick act of cruelty to a defenseless dog—and then brag about it—is a danger to the community and needs to be held accountable,” says Stephen Wells, ALDF executive director. “We urge anyone who has any information about this case to come forward and help get justice for Fox.”

If you have information related to this incident, please contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
