Urgent Action: U.S. House Revives Push to Override State Animal Welfare Laws with Rebranded EATS Act
This action is for U.S. residents only.
Your action is needed to help defeat a dangerous bill!
A repackaged version of the EATS Act, called the Save Our Bacon Act (H.R. 4673), would undermine the ability of states to enact their own laws affecting the treatment of farmed animals.
Landmark farmed animal protection laws — such as California’s Proposition 12 and Massachusetts’ Question 3, which address the cruelest forms of animal confinement on factory farms — could be invalidated should this bill become law. It could also jeopardize state laws designed to promote food safety, protect rural communities, and preserve the environment.
Please take action today to urge your federal representative to oppose this harmful bill.
