Vanessa Scanlon

As the IT Systems Administrator, Vanessa Scanlon supports the Animal Legal Defense Fund through technology, keeping IT systems running smoothly and securely.

Vanessa attended Portland Community College and holds both Microsoft MCSE and MCSA certifications. Prior to joining the Animal Legal Defense Fund, she’s spent her IT career supporting many organizations including managed services providers, architecture and engineering firms, technology companies, and various nonprofits. She joined the ALDF team to combine her love of animals and passion for technology to help make the world just a little bit better every day.

When she’s not working, Vanessa can often be found reading, browsing her favorite local bookstore, or catching the latest musical on tour at the local theater. She and her husband live with their rescued cat, Simon, near Portland, Oregon.
