Selena Chavez
Development Administrative Assistant
As the Development Administrative Assistant for the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Selena Chavez supports the Development program by performing clerical and donor customer services to help reach organizational fundraising goals. Selena also brings her passion for animal protection and previous animal rescue experience to the organization.
Selena earned her Bachelor of Science degree at CSU Channel Islands for Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing. While at CSU Channel Islands, Selena piloted a paid hands-on micro-internship program in CSUCI. The program will transform into a student-run marketing agency by 2022.
Located in the Bay Area, Selena shares her home with a Boston Terrier named Shorty. When she is not busy researching and volunteering for the Micro-internship program, she enjoys visiting the beach, kayaking, and watching international shows. She’s also quite the superhero fan — anything from Marvel to DC Comics.
