Mitch Bermel

As Pro Bono Coordinator, Mitch Bermel works with the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s pro bono network to enhance animal protection.

Mitch comes to the Animal Legal Defense Fund with a background in pro bono coordination, having served as volunteer program coordinator for a legal aid organization in Minnesota. Prior to that, Mitch worked for several years in sales at Thomson Reuters-West Publishing. Having worked alongside attorneys his entire professional career, Mitch is passionate about the law and making justice accessible to all- humans and non-humans. This fall, Mitch will begin the Master of Public Policy program at the University of Minnesota. He is also a staunch animal advocate and board member for a Minnesota-based animal nonprofit.
