Evan Levy
Litigation Fellow
Evan Levy joined the Animal Legal Defense Fund team in 2024 as a Litigation Fellow and works closely with the Litigation Program attorneys.
Evan has always had a deep love for wildlife, fostered early on by his parents taking him hiking and to the local zoo and aquarium. As he grew up, Evan learned that wild critters are hugely threatened by land-use impacts from animal agriculture, and that zoos and aquariums are often problematic. Looking to help wildlife in his career, Evan got a degree in ecology and biology at Colorado College. After college, he worked various jobs restoring habitat around the West. Wanting to have a more substantial impact, Evan decided to attend Berkeley Law to become an attorney focused on preserving wildlife and wild places.
Evan enjoys many hobbies including making stained glass, playing flute and saxophone, soaking in hot springs, sweating on long bike rides, and eating fruit. Evan has a Greek tortoise named Mulch and a corn snake named Manzanita.
