Erin is a passionate advocate driven by a commitment to helping animals through creative innovation, impactful storytelling, and a dedication to ethical progress in science and society.

Her career spans leadership roles across biotechnology, media, and academia. Erin previously served as Chief Product Officer for an epigenetics-based biotech startup, where she guided the company through an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. As a Visiting Postgraduate Research Fellow in Global Health & Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, she worked on the intersection of animal ethics, policy, and scientific innovation. Erin’s primary academic and professional focus has been on advancing animal-free research technologies, such as AI and engineered microphysiological systems, which promise to transform biomedical research by replacing animal testing with ethical alternatives. She serves on the Advisory Committee of the National Council on Research Ethics.

Erin holds a Master of Bioethics (MBE) from Harvard Medical School, a Master’s in Biology from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from Wesleyan University. She is currently a Teaching Fellow for Harvard Medical School’s only animal ethics course and an Affiliate of the Galileo Project at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where she is exploring the societal implications of UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) and the search for extraterrestrial life.

A Florida resident, Erin shares her life with her cat Bagel, a rescue from an animal research lab, and her kitten Cannoli, who was found behind an Italian restaurant. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and painting, astronomy, fitness, and working as an animal care volunteer at her local shelter.
