Brian Cooley

Brian Cooley joined the Animal Legal Defense Fund board in 2024, bringing 40 years of experience as a broadcaster and technology journalist. Brian served eight years on the board of Marin Humane where fellow board member and animal lawyer Bruce Wagman inspired his enthusiasm for animal law. Brian has chaired Marin Humane’s Advocacy Committee since 2015, is a mentor with the Good Food Institute and his firm Cooley Insights has helped hone the message of many organizations focused on animal welfare.

Brian is based in Marin County, California, and was raised in Silicon Valley.
