Allison Ludtke
Legislative Affairs Manager
As Legislative Affairs Manager, Allison Ludtke works to develop and advance the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s legislative campaigns at the federal level. Before joining the Animal Legal Defense Fund, Allison worked as a policy advisor at the Animal Welfare Institute, handling issues pertaining to marine species and terrestrial wildlife. In this role, she helped spearhead a federal bill on beaver coexistence measures and secure funding for marine stranding work and North Atlantic right whale conservation efforts. Most recently, she was the policy and communications manager at ESP Advisors, a government relations firm specializing in oceans and environmental policy.
Allison has a B.A. in Journalism and a B.S. in Natural Resources Conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an M.S. in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She lives in Washington D.C. with her cat, Timon. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, photography, and being near, or in, the ocean whenever possible.
