Ailsa Moseley
Philanthropy Manager, Central Region
As Philanthropy Manager for the Central Region Ailsa Moseley partners with Animal Legal Defense Fund supporters in Florida and across 21 central states to help protect and advance the interests of animals. Prior to joining ALDF Ailsa was a Major Gifts Officer for American Humane.
Ailsa has been passionate about animals and their welfare her entire life and is a FEMA certified Animal Search and Rescue (ASAR) responder. She has rescued a variety of animals from all sorts of natural and man-made disasters including numerous puppy mills, hoarding cases, the California wildfires, and Hurricane Dorian among many others. She is an instrument rated pilot with complex and high-performance endorsements and has flown countless disaster relief missions. She also organized a network of pilots to fly animals slated for euthanasia in rural shelters to rescues in more populated areas where they can be adopted.
Ailsa grew up in Boston and attended Tufts University, and now lives in southeast Florida with her husband, a Bahamas Potcake she rescued in Hurricane Dorian, an abandoned Miniature Schnauzer, and a Thoroughbred racehorse she rescued from the racetrack. In her spare time she raises monarch butterflies.
