Kate Youssouf

Staff Attorney

As a Staff Attorney, Kate Youssouf addresses crimes against animals through amicus briefs, trial-level cruelty case support, and collaboration with veterinarian and mental health professionals across the country to resolve the impetus and impact of animal cruelty.

Kate has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University (2011), a Master of Social Work in international social work and social policy from the University of Chicago (2015), and a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law (2019).

Kate lives in northern New Jersey with two female cats she rescued from the U.S. Virgin Islands: An orange tabby named Finn who was found exploring on her own like Huckleberry Finn, and a black-and-white cat named Ayla, which means moonlight in Turkish.
