As a Litigation Fellow, Alexandra Monson works with the Litigation Program staff attorneys to develop groundbreaking legal strategies to improve the status and lives of animals through the legal system. A graduate of Villanova University with a degree in chemical engineering, Alexandra chose to pursue a career in animal law so she could help animals be recognized as individuals under the law.
Alexandra first got involved with the Animal Legal Defense Fund at Emory University School of Law, where she served as President of the Animal Legal Defense Fund student chapter for two years. In the summer of 2017 she then worked as a legal clerk for the Litigation Program.
Alexandra lives in California with Winston Anthony, a 10-year-old pug with a big personality.
