The Northern Illinois University Law Review traditionally hosts a one-day Symposium each spring comprised of keynote speakers, visual presentations, and a panel of legal experts who share their views on a preselected legal topic. The Law Review is pleased to announce the Spring 2021 symposium topic "Animals & Environmentalism: A Legal Perspective in the Wake of a Global Pandemic." This virtual event will take place on April 23, 2021 and will explore how the legal system plays a part in the prevention and control of zoonotic diseases and what laws and regulations, or lack thereof, impact the spread.
