Ecological Immersion Academy: Rights of AnimalsOctober 16, 2020 11:00 AM to October 16, 2020 12:30 PM
ET – Eastern Time
Join Stacey Gordon Sterling, Animal Law Program Director with the Animal Legal Defense Fund, for a discussion on the rights of animals and how to advocate for them.
The Ecological Immersion Academy has been an annual event that combines immersive activities such as hiking, kayaking, and more, with legal education and the purpose of reestablishing the connections we have with the natural world, to better understand what we are advocating for. This year’s academy will be held online over four Fridays in October and November, with the theme Rights of Nature. Each Friday session has its own theme: Overview, Rights of Humans (environmental justice), Rights of Animals, and Ecosystem Rights. Stacey will be speaking on October 16 on Rights of Animals.
