National Justice for Animals Week

February 19-25, 2012

National Justice For Animals Week 2012February 19-25 marks the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s fourth annual National Justice for Animals Week. Join us on Facebook and ALDF’s blog for a week-long campaign to fight animal abuse and honor animal victims!

Animal victims of abuse cannot speak for themselves—so concerned citizens and our legal system must speak up for them. That’s why the Animal Legal Defense Fund has created National Justice for Animals Week—an annual event that is dedicated to raising public awareness nationwide about how to report animal abuse—and how to work within your community to create stronger laws and assure tough enforcement.

Take Action Each Day This Week!

Animals need your help every day of the week. Each day during National Justice for Animals Week, ALDF will post an action that you can take part in to bring us closer to real justice for animal victims. Join us on Facebook and ALDF’s blog to find out how you can participate in quick and effective actions each day this week!

Monday: Meet National Justice for Animals Week's mascot Teagan, a little German shepherd who endured a life of severe neglect and abuse before she was miraculously rescued. After you watch Teagan's video, share it with friends!

Tuesday: Don't just read the news -- make it! Let your own community members know how they can join the campaign to fight animal abuse with a clear, concise, letter to the editor. ALDF's website makes it easy! If your letter is published, share it with us, and we’ll send you an ALDF prize pack, including a reusable ALDF tote bag, bumper sticker, and other ALDF goodies!

Wednesday: Share your rescue story. Share with us an animal you would like to honor or remember on ALDF's Facebook page. Then show your support by “liking” your favorite rescue stories on Facebook.

Thursday: Help animals every day of the year! Become a Partner in Protection by making a monthly donation to the Animal Legal Defense Fund.

Friday: A better world for animals is a click away! Join the hundreds of thousands across the nation who have already taken action online to support critical ALDF campaigns, which are strategically designed to have the maximum impact for animals.
