Law Student Volunteers Needed – Pro bono credit available
Lobby For Animals is looking for 12 law students who are interested in participating in their new legislative tracking program. The program will include:
*Identifying, reviewing, tracking and maintaining up-to-date information on legislation pertaining to animal rights and the environment.
*Writing constituent letters and maintaining a current list of talking points for constituent use.
* Maintenance of Key Word alert system.
This is a remote volunteer opportunity and as such can be accessed from any location. This opportunity requires a commitment of approximately 1 hour a week for 4 months. We have a Supervising Attorney to monitor and sign off on all volunteer work so hours earned will be eligible for pro-bono credits. All program participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program.
Lobby for Animals is a registered 501(c)(3) that raises awareness and educates people on the issues facing animals and the environment and helps them effectively address these issues with their legislators. Lobby For Animals supplies the tools necessary and encourages all interested parties to learn about the importance of becoming proactive citizens within their communities and learn how to effectively speak up for animals and the environment that we all share.
