ALDF-LA Animal Law Symposium
September 27, 2014 – September 27, 2014 09:00 AM – 08:30 PM
Loyola Law School, Los Angeles
919 Albany Street
This event marks the first animal law symposium for ALDF-LA, the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s Los Angeles regional attorney network. Law professionals and students can expect an informative daylong symposium focused on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) – commonly referred to as “factory farms” – and their impacts on animal, human, and environmental welfare. Top experts will also discuss the various legal strategies that have been used to challenge and change the harmful impacts of CAFOs. Finally, we will explore the future of the CAFO system and its sustainability with a special keynote speaker. Attorneys will be eligible to receive CLE credits for attending, but we also welcome law students and other legal professionals.
This symposium is co-presented by ALDF-LA and the Public Interest Law Department at Loyola Law School.
