Orcas are highly intelligent, social animals. Orcas in captivity exhibit signs of extreme stress, psychological harm, and even premature death. After decades of criticism, famous marine park SeaWorld has instated a policy ending captive breeding at their parks. Despite the park’s promise, the company could change hands or loosen policy. Let’s ensure a better life for orca whales through a more permanent solution: support the Florida Orca Protection Act. This bill proposes an end to captivity and captive breeding and ensures orcas already in captivity will not be subjected to demeaning performances. #ALDFforOrcas #FloridaOrcaProtectionAct #FOPA
