ALDF is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the perpetrator who threw a cat carrier containing two cats into the San Francisco Bay resulting in their death. Surveillance video of where the attack occurred is available via NBC Bay Area.

If convicted of a felony under California state law the sentence carries a max possible penalty of three years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

“We call on anyone with knowledge of this cruel act to come forward for the safety of other animals. Abusers frequently repeat violent crimes against helpless animals, and often go on to victimize people as well,” said Stephen Wells, executive director of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.

If you have information relating to the identity of the person who killed these cats, please contact the Animal Legal Defense Fund (707-795-2533, x1010).

People who are violent to animals will be violent to our kids and neighbors- they MUST be punished.

  2. Nicole Pileggi says:

Prosecute this monster to the fullest extent of the law.

    1. deby says:

Sadly Nicole..the law doesn’t see animals as worth saving.

  3. Mark Brietzke says:

i understand two wrongs do not make a right, but that guy better hope the cops catch him and not me because i do not except animal cruelty in anyway shape or form , who did that to those cats is a coward

    1. deby says:

I am so with you on that Mark

  4. Agree with those who say this monster should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Even better he/she should be placed in a container with air holes in it and the container thrown into San Francisco Bay. Oh, wait, we can’t legally do that — it’s cruel and unusual punishment.

  5. Ray Wills says:

How can we add to the reward?

  6. Holly Allison says:

this sick f-k was obviously trying to hurt someone (the cat’s owners). He succeeded by hurting 1000’s of us as well.

H, Jail is too good for these bastards. I would love to see them in a crate and be thrown into the bay. Animals deserve the same rights and protection as humans.Actually they deserve more rights and protection than humans, they do not harm us the way we harm them. Animals live in harmony with nature, man has not learned this yet.

  9. deby says:

This waste of life needs the same punishment. If this were to start happening we wouldn’t have all these useless monsters torturing and murdering all of our earths animals…I would volunteer to do the job to this or those pieces of $hit who live without a soul.

  10. You have to find them before they prosicute them poor babies and i do agree an eye for an eye
