Inauguration Day Letter to President Obama

The White HouseJanuary
20 is a historic day for America–and the Animal Legal Defense Fund is
wasting no time letting President Obama know that hundreds of thousands
of his countrymen and women will now be looking to him to help lead the
charge in making real change for Americans and for America’s animals.

ALDF has sent an Inauguration Day letter of congratulations to our new president,
and we’ve included a small sample of the more than 250,000 signatures
in our campaign to provide legal protections for animals through our
Animal Bill of Rights. We have also included a legal analysis,
based on the research of volunteer law students and ALDF attorneys, of
why existing laws fail to provide real protections for animals–and why
each of the six proposed tenets of the Animal Bill of Rights is so
desperately needed.

Show your support for change for America’s animals–sign the Animal Bill of Rights!
